The award-winning tour includes the attractions listed below. View tour times and bookings.
One tonne gold coin
The world’s largest gold bullion coin is the centrepiece of the Gold Exhibition, inspired by the popularity of the Australian Kangaroo Gold Bullion Coin Series.
Live gold pour
Witness a gold pour in our original 1899 melting house, one of our most memorable experiences. This spectacle allows you to see pure gold heated to molten temperatures, transforming as it cools into a gleaming solid gold bar.
Gold exhibition and nuggets
This world-class exhibition melds the latest in technology with the history of Western Australian gold to bring the story of The Perth Mint to life. Includes the live gold pour, one-tonne gold coin, gold nugget and coin displays, chance to hold a large gold bullion bar, scales to check your weight and value in gold and mesmerising journey of gold discovery.
Engrave your own medallion
A popular extra is to design a special message or choose your favourite saying to engrave onto an aluminium bronze, gold plated, pure silver or gold medallion. These medallions are ready to take away within minutes of purchasing. You can also order online.
