Restoration and transformation works

A new chapter is unfolding at The Perth Mint. From 19 October, we’ll be transforming our retail experience, expanding our bullion services and refreshing the foyer, coin and gift shop. 

At the same time, we’ll be undertaking important restoration works, including replacing the roof of our heritage building to preserve the iconic landmark for generations to come.

Minimising disruption

While you will notice some construction activity during your visit, we’re building in stages to minimise disruption while creating something extraordinary for the future. 

Works will generally be carried out Monday to Friday between 7am and 3pm. At times, works may continue until 5pm and occasionally on Saturdays, where necessary.

We thank you for your patience and support as we invest in both our future and our heritage.

Shop and buy/sell gold services remain open

We will remain open throughout the works, with the shop and bullion services continuing to operate. 

Self-guided tours

Our Perth Mint Gold Tour will be replaced with a self-guided experience called Discover The Perth Mint until works are complete. This experience includes our famous gold pour demonstrations at regular intervals.
